Heuchera is a perennial known for its colorful foliage. The color variations and its clumping formation make dramatic statements in the landscape. With an average height and spread of 1 to 2 feet, it is the perfect choice for borders or even serving as a ground cover in mass plantings. Small flower stalks do protrude throught the dense thicket of foliage periodically through the seasons; depending on the variety.
Some varieties, depending on the winter, can be evergreen. This is not always the case in Oklahoma. Varieties like ‘Southern Comfort’, do well in hot, humid climates. Heuchera is the perfect choice for any shady space that needs a flair of color and texture.
