TLC Early Season Lawn Care Tips

For Beautiful Bermuda Lawn - February thru March

Apply E.C. Grow Pre-Plus. Surflan Pre-Emergent controls crabgrass and other annual weeds and grasses. Includes a 15-5-10 fertilizer for early spring feeding. Dethatch and/or scalp, if necessary, before application of pre-emergent.

For Fantastic Fescue Lawn - February thru March

Reseed if needed. Feed with TLC Premium 21-3-7. Apply Barricade Pre-emergent if not reseeding.

For Both types of Lawns - April

Weed & Feed. Kills broadleaf weeds and contains a high nitrogen fertilizer which helps the weed killer work. Spray with broadleaf weed killer if needed. Some broadleaf killers may be used on fescue. Read label directions for rates.

Recommended Mowing Heights

Cut grass regularly to avoid removing more than 1/3 blade height at any mowing.

Common Bermuda - 1" to 1.5" early season, 2" to 2.5" summer & fall.
Hybrid Bermudas - 0.5" to 1.5"
Fescue or Ryegrass - 2" to 3"
Zoysia - 1" to 1.5"
