How to plant a tree by Martin Borrego:

1.     Dig hole twice the diameter of tree container or root ball.

2.     Add amendment such as HuMore, Back to Earth or TLC Planting Mix in the back fill.

3.     Water thoroughly.

On Conifers, plant higher than the soil around them.  That allows for better drainage.

Marching Orders:

1.     Feed the lawn.

2.     Call your Mother since it is a holiday.

3.     Since it is April 11, it is fairly safe to plant most things.

Question:  What can I add to the ends of a hydrangea planting?

Answer:  Camellias, Foster Holly or Laurels would be some suggestions.

Best of Show:  Sharon Burton with her Carolina Jasmine.
